Gartek has experience supporting LEED-certified projects through sustainable MEP/FP design. We incorporate energy-efficient HVAC, lighting, and water-conserving plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with LEED requirements while enhancing building performance and sustainability.

BROWARD MEDICAL EXAMINER – MEP/FP ENGINEERING DESIGN, FORT LAUDERDALE, FL

MEP/FP Consultant Services, for new mixed-use multi-story buildings design highly functional, efficient structures that include the latest technologies in forensic laboratory standards, mechanical and ventilation systems, and other functions to support both facilities. Parking, landscaping, drainage, utilities, and on and off-site improvements were also included. The project was designed under the leadership of the Environmental and Engineering (LEED) guidelines.

WESTCHESTER CULTURAL ARTS CENTER – MEP/FP ENGINEERING DESIGN, MIAMI, FL

Gartek provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection engineering services for a new 11,000-square-foot cultural facility located within Tropical Park. Designed to support cultural programming focused on Hispanic arts and culture, the state-of-the-art center includes a studio theater, lobby, classrooms for performing, visual, and culinary arts, a conference center/computer lab, and office and storage spaces. The facility achieved Green Globes Certification and was developed as part of the Art in Public Places program.

MIA CENTRAL AND SOUTH TERMINALS CBIS/CBRA/BHS PROGRAM -MECHANICAL, HVAC, PLUMBING, AND FIRE SUPPRESSION DESIGN, MIAMI, FL

This project is part of an initiative to modernize baggage operations at Miami International Airport. It includes a four-story facility featuring advanced CBIS and CBRA systems, optimizing the South Terminal’s screening and introducing a new in-line BHS for the Central Terminal. Gartek Engineering provided Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, and fire suppression design services. The facility connects Concourses G and H and includes terminal modifications to support the new systems. The project targeted LEED Silver certification.
