GOYA – EMERGENCY GENERATOR, ORLANDO, FL

As part of the generator installation study and preliminary design for Goya’s facility, we reviewed site conditions, load requirements, and applicable code considerations. Following the initial assessment, design drawings and construction documents were developed and provided to Goya. To finalize the design, we requested input on several key items: projected spare capacity needs, preference for one or two generators, desired classification level (Life Safety or Optional Standby), fuel type and runtime (including diesel tank preferences), preferred generator location (indoor or outdoor), and the need for wind-borne debris protection. This feedback was necessary to confirm final equipment sizing, layout, and system integration.

TELEMUNDO NBC UNIVERSAL NETWORK’S – MEP SYSTEM UPGRADES, MIAMI, FL

As part of the engineering design for Telemundo NBC Universal Network’s Miami Headquarters, we developed mechanical, electrical, and controls system upgrades for AHU-3-9 and AHU-3-26 to improve relative humidity control and provided a media area evaluation report. The scope included a basis of design focused on space humidity control, along with detailed construction documents for the proposed modifications. Two bid alternates were included: Alternate #1 involved the removal of existing return air fans and the addition of return air ductwork; Alternate #2 included the design of a new dedicated outdoor air (O/A) fan for AHU-3-9. These design documents support accurate bidding and implementation of the recommended upgrades.

SEMINOLE GAMING AUTHORITY (SGA) OFFICE, HOLLYWOOD, FL

For the Seminole Gaming Authority (SGA) Office project, the scope of work included comprehensive MEP engineering services to support the replacement of approximately 29 existing air-conditioning systems. This involved multiple site visits to assess existing conditions and gather field data necessary for load calculations and system evaluation. Detailed engineering calculations were performed to size and specify appropriate HVAC equipment replacements. A full engineering report was developed outlining findings, recommendations, and system selection. The roof plan and mechanical specifications were incorporated into the construction drawings to guide the installation of the new rooftop units. Additionally, interior MEP design services were provided for the executive offices, general office areas, computer room, and a fully functional test kitchen, ensuring all systems met performance requirements and code compliance.
