KAPOK APARTMENT TOWER – HVAC PEER REVIEW, GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS

Gartek provided HVAC peer review engineering services, focusing on the completeness and code compliance of the design documents. The review included verification of A/C capacity based on ASHRAE standards, evaluation of equipment sizing and placement, adequacy of outdoor air supply and building pressurization, and assessment of ductwork and fan systems. The smoke control system design was reviewed for proper equipment placement and sequence of operations, with noted limitations on performance verification through drawings alone.

SWA RMPF FIBER LINE UPGRADES – FIRE PROTECTION DESIGN PEER REVIEW, WEST PALM BEACH, FL

Gartek Engineering provided a Fire Protection Design Peer Review for the SWA RMPF Fiber Line Upgrades project at the Solid Waste Authority facility. The scope included a detailed review of construction documents and specifications to ensure compliance with current building codes, local ordinances, and applicable facility design criteria. The peer review covered two design phases, 30% and 90% construction documents, and included participation in up to four virtual design coordination meetings. All deliverables were provided electronically, and internal document reproduction was included as part of the service.

MIA CONCOURSE H – INSPECTION FOR SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEMS UPGRADE, MIAMI, FL

Gartek provided professional mechanical and electrical inspection services for the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department at Miami International Airport, Concourse H, as part of a Smoke Control Systems Upgrade project. Gartek assigned two on-site resident Field Representatives, one mechanical and one electrical (as needed), to support and monitor the installation and commissioning of the upgraded systems. The scope included 42 hours per week of mechanical inspection over a 54-week period, conducted during overnight hours and including weekends, to ensure compliance with project specifications, code requirements, and overall system performance throughout the duration of the upgrade.
