PRINCESS JULIANA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – HVAC UPGRADES, ST. MAARTEN

Gartek Engineering provided mechanical design services for a new 300,000 SF airport terminal, with a focus on HVAC systems that addressed critical requirements such as smoke control, humidity regulation, and indoor air quality. The design accounted for large, high-occupancy spaces and included advanced controls to maintain comfort and safety. Smoke control systems were developed in compliance with code to support safe egress and emergency response. Gartek worked closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with the terminal’s architectural and structural design.

SCRUB ISLAND RESORT – MEP ENGINEERING DESING, TORTOLA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

Provided MEP design services for resort enhancements, including full build-out of the Isthmus area with a new maintenance building, completion of the laundry/cistern structure, and additional infrastructure. Supported the addition of an outdoor dining area, and roof modifications, raising a portion of the roof, and connecting dining areas to the kitchen. Coordinated access design with the landscape architect, assisted with restoration documentation for Marina guestrooms and selected villas, prepared record documents for HRV, and delivered construction administration services.

SCOTIABANK – MEP/FP ENGINEERING DESIGN, CARIBBEAN ISLANDS

Gartek Engineering has provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering services for a range of commercial projects, including banking institutions across the Caribbean. These projects have encompassed new construction, renovations, remodels, and additions, varying widely in size, scope, and complexity. Notable work includes multiple projects for Scotiabank at various locations such as the Rosenhall branch and Business Support Center in Montego Bay, Jamaica; the Airport Center branch renovations in the Cayman Islands; and the Rawson Square branch in Nassau, Bahamas.
