WATERMARK SEVEN MILE BEACH – MEP/FP ENGINEERING DESIGN, GRAND CAYMAN

Gartek provided full MEP/FP engineering design services for Watermark Seven Mile Beach, a new construction project located on the waterfront in Grand Cayman. The development includes a 10-story high-rise residential tower, a connecting bridge, and a 3-story low-rise hotel featuring a restaurant, spa, hotel suites, and common areas. The design was developed in accordance with the International Building Code, incorporating local Grand Cayman code requirements. The project encompasses approximately 180,000 SF for the hotel and 130,000 SF for the residential tower.

LBD MOON RESIDENCE – MEP ENGINEERING DESIGN, VIRGIN ISLANDS

Gartek Engineering provided Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design services for a new multi-building residence at Little Dixie Bay, Virgin Gorda, BVI, totaling approximately 26,000SF with an estimated construction cost of $8.5 million. The design phase utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) to produce fully coordinated documents, improving interdisciplinary collaboration and identifying system conflicts early. Gartek developed accurate 3D models integrating all building systems, while clash detection through Navisworks and field-verified 3D scans ensured seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

CALOOSA COVE RESORT – HVAC UPGRADES, ISLA MORADA, FL

Provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the upgrade of approximately fifty existing PTAC wall units to a centralized Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system. Scope included two sets of signed and sealed MEP drawings for Monroe County permit submission, responses and revisions based on building department comments, and one site visit by both mechanical and electrical engineers to observe existing conditions. Ventilation upgrades were incorporated to meet Florida Building Code indoor air quality requirements, ensuring minimum outside air intake and positive pressure in apartment units. Services also included specifications on the drawings and two reviews of equipment shop drawings.
