Historic
Restoration
(Gusman Center for the Performing Arts)
Restoration, additions, and renovations of historic projects demand comprehensive expertise in mechanical and electrical systems. We recognize that designs must seamlessly integrate the latest technologies for life safety, environmental comfort, and communications, creating facilities built to last for many years while ensuring ease of maintenance throughout their lifespan.
HISTORIC HAMPTON HOUSE – RESTORATION, MIAMI, FL

Gartek provided MEP/FP engineering services for the historic renovation of the two-story, 30,000 SF Hampton House, a landmark MiMo-style hotel in Miami.
The scope included electrical system upgrades and relocations, replacement of air handlers and chiller, installation of a new HVAC control system, and expansion of the fire suppression system.
Services supported the transformation of the building into a museum and mixed-use cultural space, including classroom areas, motel suites, a café, a swimming pool, and shell space for future music studios, all designed to meet current code while preserving the site’s historic significance.
