Central Energy Plants

Central Plants are upgraded for many reasons which may include: the result of increase in load requirements, to improve overall efficiency or to replace aging equipment.

In most cases the facility must remain fully operation during the change-out with little to no interruption to daily functions. This presents special challenges to the designer to develop a workable phased sequence of construction which may include the allocation of temporary space, securing sufficient power (sometimes on a temporary basis) to enable the facility to remain operational and that will allow installation and start-up of the new equipment while existing machinery continues to operate.
