The places where people work, live, and play present challenges to design environments that are pleasing and comfortable to the senses, yet enhance the architectural statement.  Gartek’s expertise in this area includes design of new facilities as well as the complete rehabilitation of existing structures.  Gartek engineers were among the first professionals in the South Florida area to become heavily involved in the rebuilding of the Art Deco District in South Beach.  As such, we have developed unique solutions to resolve the seemingly impossible task of incorporating new HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, electrical and electronic systems into structures built in the 1920'’s and 30'’s.  New facilities do not have the space limitations present in historic structures but present their own unique challenges, usually of value engineering and scheduling origins.  The following sample projects reveal Gartek’s depth within this project category:
